Thunderdrones Repair Process and Prices

The repair process is as follows:

  1. Fill out an online repair request from, and prepay the $49 diagnostic fee.
  2. Send or bring in your done to the address listed below.
  3. When we receive it, we will email you.
  4. When the repair is done, we will email you an invoice and payment request.
  5. After payment is received, your can pick up your drone, or we can mail it back to you.

What we do at Thunderdrones:

If you need service to your DJI drone, we can help. We have bought, sold and repaired thousands DJI Products. These include Phantom 3 and 4 , Mavics, Mavic Airs, Sparks, Mavic 2’s, Mavic Minis, Mini 2 and Mavic Air 2.

How much does Thunderdrones charge?

We charge a $49 diagnostic fee up front when you fill out the online repair request. Our labor rate is $49 per hour. You choose the max amount you will spend on the repair not including shipping. Just send your drone in to us, you pay for shipping. We will repair it if the repair cost is less than the amount you want to spend. Then when the repair is done, we will send you a Paypal invoice. If the repair cost is above your budget, all you will owe is $49 plus return shipping. If you decide to repair it, the $49 estimate fee is applied to the repair.

How long will it take to get an estimate?

It will take 3-4 business days after we have received your Mavic to generate the estimate. We will email you when the estimate is complete. The estimate is just that, we will address what the error messages are and what physical damage is apparent. If we find any additional things that need to be repaired after the estimate and test flight, we will let you know before we finish the repair and wont proceed until we get your approval.

Whats the turnaround time on a repair?

Turnaround time for the repair is usually 5-7 business days after you have accepted the estimate.

What type of payments does Thunderdrones accept?

We accept Paypal, Venmo, and all debit and credit cards as payment. Our Paypal address is Thunderdrones@aol.com.

What items should I send to Thunderdrones for the repair?

When shipping your drone to us, please include the following:
Drone in it’s original box, if possible.
Battery
Controller
SD card
Gimbal lock
Gimbal protective bubble
OEM DJI props (we need them to test fly your drone when it’s done)
You dont need to send any cables or charger.

You can also drop it off at the UPS Store at the above address. Make sure you put everything in a box, or your carrying case. Write your name, then Thunderdrones Box 103-332 on the box (or your case). After we pick it up, we will send you an email that we received it.

What diagnostic procedures does Thunderdrones follow during the repair?

When we receive your drone, we take a written inventory of what is in the box. We then put a name tag on all your items, and put your box on the triage shelf in date order that your drone was received. Before we begin work on your drone, we give it complete exterior inspection, and make notes of everything we receive.
